Tiempo, a specialist in the design of asynchronous (clockless) integrated circuit has just closed a first major financing round at €1.1 million with Emertec Gestion and Schneider Electric Ventures. The Swiss designer was founded in July 2007, and its main objective is to accelerate the development of its products in order to gain a foothold in the market by the beginning of 2009. Tiempo technology is the result of more than 15 years of scientific researches on the design of asynchronous integrated circuits and the development of dedicated EDA tools. Tiempo also aims to be able to rapidly provide a first range of low power components which are ready for use.
